Selacia is internationally
known for her work in the inspirational/ transformation field. She
serves as a bridge between spirit and the physical world, helping to
connect people of all ages and walks of life with their spiritual
selves. A gifted intuitive, she has a down-to-earth approach to living
a spiritual life within a mainstream context. A former journalist,
publicist and school administrator for teenage girls, she teaches
others what she has learned about how to bring spirit into all areas of
life -- from the corporate world, to the classroom, to the home. She
has a unique ability of being able to take universal truths and break
them down into practical teachings that awaken both the novice and
experienced spiritual practitioner.
Selacia has published one book, with a number of others planned. Throughout her first book published in 1999, The Golden Edge, readers are provided with guideposts and
cutting-edge tools for moving out of fear and into wholeness. Her first book sold hundreds of copies throughout the U.S. and internationally.
Demand for Selacia’s books has been fueled by a growing worldwide interest in her writings that speak to concerns of today’s everyday person.
People on every continent know of her work through her popular website, her articles read worldwide, her social media sites, and ongoing teachings.
As a bonus for readers of her book The Golden Edge, Selacia has offered a personal inspirational message from her spiritual guides, The Council of 12. These messages became so
popular among her following that many customers placed multiple orders in order to receive personal messages for family and friends.
Selacia’s latest work, a new book focused on the window of 2012, will be published in late 2009. This groundbreaking book will
provide a fresh look at the great shift in consciousness occurring on Earth as we near 2012 and the next phase.
In this book, Selacia will present The Teachings of The Council of 12™ to the world. The Council of 12 is a group of highly evolved nonphysical guides
who are integral to Selacia’s life and work. The Council of 12’s loving energetics and inspirational messages are incorporated into Selacia’s writings, teachings, and ongoing
interactions with individuals and the public.
This prolific writer has in her family tree of ancestors such
beloved writers as Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The American poet
Longfellow (1807-82), best known for works including Hiawatha,
had a gift of simple, romantic story-telling in verse and a sound lyric
sense. His works were rooted in literature rather than in life. On the
other hand, Longfellow's descendant, Selacia, focuses her writing in
ways that reflect real life.
An experienced healer and medical intuitive, Selacia works with
clients around the world, helping them to bring their lives back into
balance. As a part of this work, she assists clients in uncovering and
healing hidden core beliefs within DNA that cause disharmony and pain. She comes
to DNA intuitive healing with a background in health and fitness, having written
about health as a journalist and having previously counseled teens and
adults regarding nutrition and weight loss. She will be included in a
number of studies scheduled to determine how methods such as DNA intuitive healing work and how they relate to other current research being done by
scientists.
As part of Selacia’s ongoing teachings, she offers workshops and seminars about DNA intuitive healing and related studies. Her focus is a new paradigm of healing that involves
bridging the worlds of science and spirit. A primary goal is transformation and the integration of spirituality into everyday life. Selacia teaches students from around the world
how to heal at the DNA cellular level, and as part of that, how to transform limiting patterns of a deep-rooted nature. Her students also learn how to become skilled and discerning
in working with the nonphysical realms. These studies are designed by Selacia to help students accelerate awakening and intuitive knowing. A
frequent presenter, Selacia was the featured speaker in May 2000 at the
UNSRC Enlightenment Society at the United Nations in New York. She addressed the United Nations' Society for Enlightenment and
Transformation, S.E.A.T. She has also been among the main
presenters at other national conferences, including the 2000
Wesak Celebration in New York City and the 1999 Festival of Humanity in Reno, NV. She is a regular presenter at the Conscious Life Expo in Los Angeles and the New Living Expo in
San Francisco. Other featured presentations by Selacia include those at DNA intuitive healing workshops, as well as annual Wesak celebrations.
Selacia has been featured in a number of print and broadcast media.
These include the TV show, Healing Voices, the international
magazine Sedona Journal of Emergence, and the daily newspaper,
Reno Gazette. Her articles appear regularly in such national
media as Sedona Journal of Emergence, The Whole Person, The Messenger, Mountain Spirit Chronicles, New Life, Awareness, and Magical Blend.
Internationally, her articles are published in publications
including the newsletter of the United Nations' S.E.A.T., Sedona
Journal of Emergence (Europe and Australia), The WholeLife News
(U.K.) and WakingUp (U.K.). Through the vehicle of the Internet, Selacia’s writings are available on hundreds of websites, blogs, spiritual networking
sites, social media, and ezines.
Examples include Pathways Within, Inward Journey, The Isis Connection, Yahoo! 360 Degrees, Michael Worldwide Newsletter, Freespirits, Snoedel, Care2 Connect, Gnostic Gnome,
SomethingToThinkAbout, Digg, OneFlynAngels, Open Exchange, LightParty.com, OmPlace, and Zaadz.
In a career that has spanned more than 25 years, Selacia has worked in
both the corporate arena and in the non-corporate world of spirituality
and human potential. Having served as a foreign correspondent in London
and White House correspondent in Washington, Selacia has reported for
such media as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The
London Observer. Specializing in politics and macroeconomics
as a journalist, she has interviewed and written about many public
figures, including Margaret Thatcher and President Jimmy Carter. Her
international journalism career has taken her to numerous cities around
the world, giving her a comfort level to interact with people from
diverse backgrounds. The background of extensive travel and of
interviewing world political and economic leaders also gives her a
unique international perspective. During the current economic crisis, fueled by the U.S. financial market meltdown of 2008, Selacia brings a unique wisdom
to the world. She is especially skilled in being able to help people respond to the current crisis. This skill comes from her deep connection with spirit, from an understanding of
human suffering, and from working for years as an international journalist. Based in Washington as a reporter, she had first-hand experience with issues of economic policy, banking
legislation, Fannie Mae, foreign relations, and a host of other areas. Working overseas covering economic summits, foreign leaders, and international trade, she developed a keen
understanding of political and social issues that sit at the heart of today’s crisis.
After returning to her native California from London in the mid-1980s, Selacia
gained further expertise in other aspects of communications:
marketing, publicity, film and television. For several years, she
served as a senior administrator at a private school for teenage girls
in Los Angeles. In her role as communications director at Marlborough
School, she had valuable hands-on experience with teens. A professional publicist with a proven track record of media placements
and media savvy, she has served in senior level management positions
with national public relations firms. In tandem with the mainstream professional communications work, Selacia in the 1980s also began in-depth studies involving
healing, consciousness, and ancient shamanic and spiritual traditions. As part of that, over the years she has studied with a number of great teachers, including those from the
Tibetan Bon Buddhist tradition. These teachers include Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, founder of Ligmincha Institute. These studies continue to be integrated into Selacia’s work. She formed her own company,
Communication for Transformation Group, in the early 1990s. A
native of California, Selacia holds a B.A. in journalism from San Jose
State University, San Jose, CA.

Personal Note From Selacia Including:
Why Communication for Transformation?
"It is with a joyful heart that I share with you the words and images of this website. Many of the words come directly from The Council of 12, the group of loving nonphysical
guides I call my spiritual family. I refer to them this way, for we come from the same universal birthing source. We have an eternal connection that embodies no specific timeframe,
dimension or space.
The Council of 12 has worked with me throughout this life, including in my childhood and professional journalism career. Back then, I didn't have a name or form for their energy,
and quite often didn't even recognize that I was being guided by a higher wise force. However, that is exactly what happened throughout my life.
As a young child, looking back on it now, I assumed that it was normal to have answers to life's questions pop into your head, and that it was normal to have a knowing about life
events before people around me did. When I was a journalist covering the White House, or starting my own entrepreneurial business later on, I now realize that I'd often come up
with questions and insights other people didn't contemplate. The name and logo for my company came to me this way too.
My company name, Communication for Transformation, came from The Council of 12 over 20 years ago. At that time, I was still very involved with corporate communications–providing journalistic writing, a mainstream-oriented screenplay, and
public relations for major companies. I trusted spirit, and began using the corporate name, long before beginning to understand its meaning. It was really only in the last decade that I began to grasp the significance
of the words, communication for transformation. I now know that
part of my mission here is to help people transform how they interact
in the world. When spirit uses the word communication, it refers
to any method of transmitting knowledge, feelings, thoughts, or
information. The methods we use to communicate include: the written
and spoken word, telepathy, emotion, body language, silence, and
connection with the divine. All of these expressions are energetic
acts, and they can be positive or negative. What is needed is
a transformation of how we communicate so that we are increasingly
connected to the divine.
I found in my research that transformation can be described as
an evolution, for the thing or person evolves to a higher state
of energy. When you join the two words transformation and communication
as I have in my company name you find a way to understand
the process of evolution. It is a way to see how all of life is
based on relationship and communicating. We as spiritual beings,
incarnated in human form, are here on Earth to spiritualize matter.
To do that, we must communicate. We must relate to matter. The
basis of life itself is communication it is the exchange of
information. Because most beings on the planet sense that they
are ineffective in their communications, what is needed is a transformation
of how we communicate.
I am sure that The Council of 12 will provide an even larger
view of this topic over the coming years!"
"I have worked with The Council of 12 during many incarnations.
Even with our long history, however, I am constantly amazed at how they seamlessly
provide their input and love. One example was in the creation
of the images for this website. Their March 2000 message described images of "light sand" in an hourglass. They showed me that this image of the hourglass had meaning,
not only for readers of the message, but for my own creation of
a logo for my activities. In the days that followed my receipt
of their message, The Council showed me how to create images for
my logo and website. For me, the self-proclaimed non-artist, being
able to convey this image to my designer seemed an amazing feat!
I feel gratitude to The Council of 12 for their input, and to
my designer, Sherri Madison, for creating such beautiful images.
"I appreciate each one of you for supporting the work with The
Council of 12! I look forward to sharing more of their inspiration
and wisdom with you in the years ahead."
